innovaphone is integrating eTranslation into its myApps UCC platform, expanding its offering with an AI translation tool from the European Union. Processing takes place exclusively within the protected infrastructure of the European Commission – an important consideration for organizations with stringent data protection and compliance requirements.
Security and digital sovereignty are key requirements, particularly for organizations with critical infrastructure, such as government authorities, public institutions and companies in the healthcare and justice sectors. The integration of eTranslation into myApps addresses precisely this need: translations can be processed within a controlled European environment without relying on external AI services. The solution was designed specifically for multilingual communication in Europe and currently supports all 24 official languages of the European Union. It is available free of charge following a one-time registration to public administrations and other eligible user groups within the EU, such as SMEs.
eTranslation adds another powerful translation solution to the innovaphone Translations App for cross-language collaboration. Content can be translated in real time directly within the myApps platform – without having to switch between applications. Seamlessly integrated into the Connect App, the feature enables employees to write posts and replies in their native language and translate them into the desired language at a click, when needed. This helps break down language barriers and facilitates collaboration in international teams. Thanks to the open architecture, various AI and language models can be flexibly integrated and adapted to individual data protection and IT security requirements.
Heiko Abmeyer, Business Manager Public at innovaphone, explains: “By integrating eTranslation, we are expanding our portfolio of sovereign AI solutions. Guided by the concept of a ‘national resilience strategy,’ we assist SMEs and public institutions at the federal, state and local levels to make international communication secure, efficient and compliant with data protection requirements.” For more information, please visit the myApps Assistant feature page.
