For a demo line at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Brembo required a compact and representative solution for several processing stages. The line needed to accommodate four processing steps, centring operations and a flexible layout within a very limited space. At the same time, a clean design and rapid implementation were essential.
Using the LT40 transfer system, Montech and Metalwork Service developed a customised solution. Thanks to its integrated motor, the LT40 has a particularly compact design and is well suited to applications with limited space. Its clean and slim appearance also meets the representative requirements of the demo line.
For this application, the standard LT40 pallets were adapted. Three stoppers are used at each of the four processing stations. This allows a pallet to be stopped and moved step by step. As a result, the same processing operation can be carried out on three different parts positioned on a single pallet.
The integrated brushless 24 V motors enable flexible adjustment of the speed and conveying direction via digital or analogue signals. The complete line was pre-assembled, tested and delivered according to the customer’s requirements.
The result is a compact, flexible and visually appealing demo line that combines several processing steps within a very limited space.
